01-12-2023We are ready to go. Payload Plan Rev. G are curent and posted. Please look at predictions 732, 733, and 734 (located at upper right of prediction page.

01-03-2023A new flight date of Saturday January 14th is planned. Think positive thoughts!  Deer Trail is the selected launch site. 7:15am launch time. Payloads onsite two hours early! Payload plans have been updated.

12-14-2022The flight has been scrubbed because of winter weather conditions. A new date will be determined.

12-10-2022Deer Trail has been confirmed as the launch site. A later sunrise has pushed the initial launch to 7:15am. Payload Plans Rev. E have been posted

12-07-2022 The flight originally scheduled for December 2 flight has been rescheduled for Saturday December 17th. The launch site will at be Deer Trail, and has been verified. 

 This is a rescheduled Saturday launch of two Heavy balloons (or three Lite balloons) carrying student-built payloads from:

  • Evergreen High School - STEM Capstone course
  • Golden High School - Engineering II class
  • Westminster High School - Aerospace Engineering course

In case of cloudcovered skys (greater than 5/10ths), we will fly three 1500g balloons as follows:

RMRL 449.450 minus offset with 103.5 Hz tone for Saturday along with links to several other sites. SkyHub Link System will graciously link the following repeaters to this machine during the flight:

  • Limon Colorado RMHAM-N0SZ Input 440.275 MHz Output 445.275 MHz Color Code 7, TS-1 TG 700 (Wide), TS-2 TG 720 (Central)

 These two sites provide almost full coverage along the I-70 corridor from Byers to Goodland Kansas.
