Before each flight predictions are made for the flight tracks so that all stations involved with the flight may plan for their activities. Recently the ability to predict the rise, maximum elevation and set time data for each i-gate became available. Having researched back in time and examined current records to attempt to find all stations that have I-Gated an EOSS flight and have come up with this roster:
|
Roster as of November 28, 2006
|
Prior to each flight I run predictions and generate an i-Gate prediction file. The current (or perhaps last active) prediction is AVAILABLE HERE.
Be aware that only stations for whom an actual appearance above their local horizon are listed in the prediction. I could add an i-Gate from New York City, however, since no balloon launched from Colorado would nominally ever be visible in NYC, even though that city was in the prediction database, no prediction would ever appear for it. So, if you are in the DB and don't see your station listed in a prediction it means that the balloon's trajectory is taking it over a path that is always below your local horizon.
If you plan on being an i-gate or would like your station to be included in this prediction table, send your call sign, name and location (latitude, longitude and altitude) to me and I'll add you to the roster.
